TVF helps flood victims

Germany suffered one of the worst floods in its history. In many towns, districts and communities a great deal of damage was caused, much of which first became apparent as the flood waters retreated. Many communities were in desperate need of help with rebuilding after the flood. Help which would complement the state support, while as well as the damage suffered by private individuals, in many places the local infrastructure was seriously affected.

Weeks after the devastating floods relief organisations, companies and countless private individuals were still active in the flooded areas.

Flood damage

TVF GmbH was active from August 2002 in the area around Glashuette, Schmiedeberg, Altenberg and Langenau, in coordination with the local authorities, in helping to repair the damage with its huge potential in personnel and technical equipment. In specific terms, TVF staff were active in cleaning the canalisation, canals, industrial buildings, public facilities, including a swimming pool and various cellars.

With our assistance, the aim was to allow the local people to get back to a normal life and forget the trauma of the catastrophe as quickly as possible.
