Job description:

• Controlled explosion of the four cooling towers with a one second time lapse between each explosion

• Preparation of the rubble with a heavy plant crusher and subsequent recycling
• Clearance of the site

Special factors:

• Completion of an evidence securing operation in a nearby catering building for the settlement of any eventual damage caused
• Closing of the main road B48 by the police to create a safety zone

• Height of the cooling towers 90 metres
• Diameter at the top 36.90 metres

• Drilled holes and number of detonators 1,932
• Fuse cable Dynacord 1,800 metres
• Explosive Eurodyn 2000 175 kilograms
• Creation of fall slots (pre determined breaking points) with a cable excavator
• Attachment of circa 10,000 square metres of fleece matting and circa 3,000 square metres of wire netting to prevent flying grit
