Job description:
- Due to the proximity of the nearest homes (45 metres) it was decided that a controlled explosion was not possible
Lippendorf/ Deconstruction of cooling tower 2
- A tower gantry was mounted in the centre of the cooling tower
- A tunnel for machinery and communication technology was created as protection against falling concrete
- Demolition of the cooling tower wall using hanging hydraulic shears down to 54 metres
- Integration of the hydraulic equipment as a counterweight for the crane
- Disassembly of the tower gantry
- Demolition down to ground level
- Preparation and recycling of the rubble in grit size 0-63 millimetres and backfilling of the site
