Fire damage clearance in Quartz Works Hohenbocka

Job description:
The processing facilities in Quartz Works Hohenbocka were destroyed in a large fire.
Special factors:
The intense heat caused serious deformation of the buildings leaving them under tension, in some cases load-bearing girders were torn from their mountings.
The deconstruction was completed on the basis of a special working plan in conformance with mining laws, some sections requiring appropriate statically calculated technology. All operations were completed from the safety cage from top to bottom.

Building length circa 60 metres, width circa 25 metres, height circa 30 metres
Steel construction circa 2,000 tons
Machinery used:
- Two 100 ton cranes
- Hitachi KH 125 cable excavator with 35 metres operational range
- Various smaller cranes
- Hydraulic excavator LH 932 with a scrap shear for the preparation and loading of the scrap
