KYRILL
Kyrill is the name of the hurricane force storm which affected large areas of Europe on the 18 January 2007, reaching wind speeds, in the gusts, up to 225 kilometres per hour. It cost human lives and caused an enormous amount of damage, it led to the temporary closure of public facilities and businesses and severe disruption of the energy and transport sectors. On this Thursday more than 1 million people were temporarily without electrical power.

Project description:
- Anchoring of 4 x 380 kilovolt pylons

- approx. 180 tons of anchoring matirial and 4.000 metres of anchoring cables were used to ensure the safety of the high tension cables
- 12 workers from the specialist grid team worked the whole weekend
- 35 TVF employees were in action in 5 locations
